EVE Online: Commissioned Officer edition hitting in December via Namco

Namco said this morning that it's to release the Commissioned Officer edition of super-deep CCP MMO EVE Online in the UK and Germany this December.

The "updated retail pack" includes "the Cerebral Accelerator, a military-grade implant that significantly increases a new pilot’s skill development."

This is code for, "It now doesn't take literally six months to get anywhere in EVE Online."

The edition comes with 30 days game time and a poster with "helpful hints and tips on the reverse side for getting started."

“The Commissioned Officer Edition is the best way for a new player to get a running start in the highly competitive environment of EVE Online,” said senior producer Arnar Gylfason.

You'll only be able to buy this edition as a retail product; there'll be no other way to get the noob implant.
