Kinect launches in UK – Kudo talks turkey with Sky News

Without the shades.
Sky News has a piece from last night’s UK launch of Kinect, which shows Kinect creative chief Kudo Tsunoda talking about the motion camera.
It also has footage from the midnight launch at GAME in Oxford Street as well as The Wanted – God help us – from last night’s launch party as well as article quotes from Microsoft UK boss Neil Thompson and Rare chief Nick Burton.
Watch it below.
After an anti-climatic launch event in London last night in contrast to the US Times Square launch last week, Kinect goes on sale today in the UK and Europe.

Without the shades does he have jakie’s eyes? thats the only reason i can think of as to why he never takes them off
*watches*
nah he just looks like a regular dick
oh god what is it with news channels that always makes games coverage cringe worthy to watch? That was worse than the bbc black ops thing.
“It’s aimed at hardcore gamers”
NO IT’S NOT! and its bloody obvious its not when MS says hardcore guys are sweaty basement dwellers (they did say this google it).
Also, “its the best thing since sliced bread…innit?”

He’s got a lazy eye hasn’t he. Not very cool to have the front man of your new tech having a lazy eye now is it. One eye on the fish, one eye on the chips…

This was on the BBC earlier, was 10 minutes of what seemed more like an advert than news. Dodgy.

BBC News are terrible for that, especially for plugging their own shows.

Its worse on the Radio, I really don’t get it.
You wouldn’t let someone like me who knows NOTHING about football commentate a football game, or read an article about football related news would you? Thats why they have their own sports dedicated presenter.
Games just get some silly twit reading words from a piece of paper that they don’t understand! Theres no excitment or passion involved, they sound like robots!

Haha that video made it seem like Kinect powers your home or something. “Xbox, Lights On”. It only works on your xbox guys don’t be fooled by Microsoft’s expensive marketing skills.

Notice they didn’t show who that boy band was singing too… that’s right, they were singing to nobody. haha. I must say my local Game and Tesco’s were rammed… with kinect boxes stacked up. Shortage my arse. In contrast to the night before which saw queues down the street to buy Black Ops.
The internet and the media are making this out to be the second coming of christ. Happily I think the public can see through all the marketing hype to a product heading straight for the bargain bin.
And I see everyone get’s a piece of Microsofts $500 Million ad budget- even this very website.
