The fact that you can still shunt your way around corners and not be penalised by the game is awful. I’ve been using that ‘tactic’ since I was 13 FFS.

I wouldn’t put too much stock in what we see here. We have absolutely no idea what mode / settings / etc it’s being played on.

Not to sound defeatist or whatever and not to discredit this article in anyway!!! But how do we know that this is GT 5??? it could be GT 5 Prologue on different settings!! Where’s the proof in the video?? Apart from the 3 or 4 messages he received, does anyone say it is GT 5 in it or???

It’s a new track, new cars shown, skidmarks shown, new effects shown (check when he goes onto the grass), reverse lights shown… and more. It’s GT5, not prologue.

OK since I’m sure a lot of people on this thread with the exception of PT probably never followed all the chaos from the weekend till today, here’s what happened in brief.
Gtplanet forums and Gaf got trolled Sunday with fake case shots and someone posting fake PSN XMB screenshots saying they were playing GT5. However there was an auction Czech it out if you want and I believe two guys bought it.

One fellow posted a friend playing the game as showing up on his friendslist. Following that of course they attacked that guy till he proved what he was saying was that just some guy on his FL was playing and that was all he knew. This ‘guy’ proceeded to get millions (well 389 the last time I checked) of friend-invites and responded to just two guys afaik.

Following that this video was posted. Of course no one knows the settings or stuff but everything else is pretty much stuff that wasn’t on any previous release. So the game is real that’s as much as we can say. Oh and the guy didn’t want to spoil the game for others so he didn’t give away as much as he could.

@15 Yeah as i said it may have the features and it mite be a new track and stuff but it would be nice to see a quick in games shot of it in the XMB and scrolling to it in the Game bit and showing it saying GT5 instead of playing it lo. But as i say If im wrong im wrong!!!!

So if it’s got the features introduced in GT5… what exactly do you think he might be playing if it’s not GT5?

4 minutes and 27 seconds of one track. Dude, show the title screen, show the XMB, pop the case up into the shot, exit and show another track. It’s almost strange why he doesn’t do any of this…

This is probably going to get a mauling when it comes to the reviews, im expecting 6s and 7s across the board mainly because these game journalists will judge it on its dev time instead of the actual product.

Thinking about it, Sony did themselves a favour delaying it. Look how much Kinect is being slapped about the shop this week, and with Blops just around the corner too, GT5 wouldn’t of gotten the exposure.

- Nov. 26 in EU (included Italy)
- Nov. 27 in US
- Nov. 30 in UK
