Xbox Live demos: Apache, Joyride, Rock Band 3

Microsoft has released a few demos for you to try out over the weekend.

Apache: Air Assault is one of three demos available, and it's a "modern combat flight simulation game" tasking players with piloting an Apache attack helicopter outfitted with "cutting-edge military weaponry". The goal is to prevent terrorist attacks by "raining down destruction from above". Get it here.

There's also a Rock Band 3 demo available through here, and since you pretty much already know what it entails, we'll skip on to the next demo.

Those who were lucky enough to get their hands on a Kinect in the US yesterday, can play around with a demo of Joy Ride. The game has five different modes with three different worlds to race through as you navigate obstacles, fly off jumps, and other nifty sounding racing stuff. There are power boosts, power-ups and other items to help you along the way.

Want to know how Kinect and the games released for it are stacking up? Check out our extensive reviews round-up through here.

Kinect is out in the UK next week.
