Too much force… Just too much.

If this device will succeed with this PR than there is nothing to be happy about it after spending 500 000 000$

But if this device with this MASSIVE PR will Fail… Owww…

I hope it will fail, i don’t want next generation of PC powered by Kinect or something. I’m fine with my mouse and keyboard. And on consoles? With my gamepad i’m just fine.

Everyone with the brain knows that this is a useless junk that no one needs in the gaming industry for 100% (Until it will work faster and will be useful with the controller for gaming.)
Services? Still you need to create interface that will work with this thing.

Today i’m going to my national bank, there is a store that have Kinect and i want to try it.

If they make a profit then that $500m will be fairly irrelevant to them. We’ll know one way or another in January.

“If they make a profit then that $500m”

It’s impossible to be profitable with 500$M because marketing is not everything here. They spent money on the device research don’t forget + on the manufacturing costs (Material extraction, manufacturing production, transportation, utilization reuse) + they need to market it after this 500$ million period with Justin Biebers, Oprahs, Time Squares… + not to mention that the price for this thing is just too high. Times Square is not the whole USA.

There is just so wrong with this thing and i don’t think so that Microsoft expect it to be profitable. They are probably testing the water for the future Microsoft’s console or next Windows that will be powered with this thing.

The research money has already been sunk over the last few years Erthazus, and the E&D division has been profitable (to the tune of over $1.5bn dollars) over the last few years. That stuff is covered. What we’ll see in the next quarter will be the direct costs of manufacturing / transport / marketing vs the revenue from sales.

@5 Yep, looks like it. Talk about trying to brainwash the public in thinking this is a good thing to buy.
