Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition hitting US on December 12

NOA has announced the US will get to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game series along with Europe and Japan with the Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition on Wii.

To be made available only while supplies last, the package contains four classic Mario games, a soundtrack CD and an illustrated commemorative booklet.

Games included on the disc include: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.:The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3. Each one has enhanced graphics and updated sound from the Super NES collection, and all four can be played using one either: the Wii Remote controller, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro or the GameCube controller.

The soundtrack CD contains music from the Mario franchise along with sound effects from the original Super Mario Bros. game all the way up to Super Mario Galaxy 2 game, and also includes the first official release of the Super Mario Bros. Ground Theme.

The booklet has a 32-page history lesson on Super Mario and features: interviews, behind-the-scenes details and concept art.

Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition will land in the US on December 12 for $29.99. Europe gets it on December 3.
