Boom. Japanese TV show MXTV has broadcast off-screen gameplay footage of some of the biggest 3DS games, including a decent look at the console’s version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Get the lot below, courtesy of this GAF post.

Aside from Ocarina, there’s video here of Resident Evil: Revelations, Ridge Racer 3DS, Steel Diver, Nintendogs & Cats, Samurai Warriors Chronicle and Mario Sports Mix.

3DS launches in March in the US and Europe following a February 26 release in Japan.

Thanks, TheDutchSlayer.

Want that 3DS!!!! It looks to be damn impressive. I’ve never finished OOT so this is my chance, definite buy and it looks to have a graphical upgrade. Resident Evil looks impressive as hell too, wow.

I just don’t understand how it works. So it shows two images overlaid and your eyes see each layer. You have to hold it at an optimum distance from your eyes. What if you don’t? Does it break the illusion? Is it a trance like thing you have to do like those magic eye posters from the 80s?? I think I need to see it first hand. I think I’m missing something at the moment

@4: if you want to see the 3d effect you have to stay in a certain position, if not you’ll see games in the same way they look in the videos ;)

@4 Yes, unless you look at it from a specific angle, the effect will look off. You can alter how strong the 3D effect is as well.

That said, I don’t know many people whole hold their handhelds upside or at weird 45 degree angles, so I really don’t see the problem.

I do not get why they insist on keeping the 3d slider in the on position for this and other public videos. They have this footage that they know will be blurry if they keep it on yet they still do it. They may as well turn it off and we can get a better idea how well this thing renders regular graphics.
