I really hate this shipped stuff… grow a pair of balls and tell everyone what it sold through to customers / what items customers are mostly buying.

I don’t get it, they sound fairly happy with how things are going, so why not give us some more useful info? That said, they said they were happy with PSP Go sales, so I guess company statements aren’t everything.

Reports like this are usually exaggerated just to look interesting/succesful to shareholders. And since that’s still not a crime we shouldn’t take any of these reports serious, whatever company is providing them.

And to be honest, Sony’s probably very high on the list of fakers…

I was up in Dublin yesterday…

The PlayStation Move Experience Hub was almost completely empty. Barely anyone was visiting it. This was my second time visiting the place.

The Kinect Experimental Centre, which was a quick walk down the road in Grafton Street, on the other hand… was constantly filled up with people.

@2 may be a complete troll, but his basic point is true. There is far more hype, promotion and consumer interest for Kinect than there was for Move.

personally I prefer move to kinect, but to be honest both have shitty software lineups. The only thing I really like out of either is the voice controll for the XBOX…but isn’t that like broken or something?

1.5 Million units in the EU and 1 Million in the US is more than ‘OK’ in my book. Especially since Sony didn’t spend half a BILLION dollars on advertising the thing.

Kinect was an interesting idea, but in the end, i can’t imagine it being great for gamers, maybe a few casual games like the eyetoy, but if there’s a single AAA game for it, i’ll be honestly astonished, but Move already has a few AAA games using it/on the way, so it would be the better choice for me (& any hardcore gamer), i would imagine that anyone on this site who praises Kinect as a gaming tool, is just an ignorant fanyboy, or actaually likes the occasional dancing/casual game.

while i don’t plan buying neither i’ve tried both Kinect and Move and all i can say is that Kinect isn’t responsive while Move is.Kinect will sell a lot more due to advertising but unfortunately at the end of the day many will be disappointed and seriously i don’t see developers putting a lot of effort on it in the future while Move has some future potential.

This is what I reckon:

* Move is selling well and will continue to sell.
* Kinect is selling well via pre-order and will also sell well.
* Kinect will most likely sell more in the long run but Move might well make more profit due to the lower advertising budget.
* Evolutions of both devices are likely to be the defacto controller for the next gen machines. Get used to them.
* Kinect works sitting down.
* Trolls smell of cabbage and wee. Mostly cabbage.
