And east coast US midnight pick upers get screwed over by Steam DRM refusing to allow us to activate or install our games until 3 AM (Midnight PST time)

I loved FO3. I’m stuck between getting this for PC or PS3, or even picking up a 360 again (ep with Fable out in a few days).

Though I have a feeling it might be wise to wait a while for a patch. Still looking forward to it.

Wow! I’m actually surprised. Obsidian seemed to have pulled it off.

Hmm. So the general consensus seems to be that it’s a great game but it’s more like an expansion than really doing anything new and it’s a bit buggy at the minute, yes?

Definitely getting this, but if it’s a bit of a bug-fest for now I’ll probably give it a few weeks and let them get a couple of patches out.

Buggout : New Vegas. Pretty much like Buggout 3 and The Elder Bug.

Seriously is really hard fixing you games? From the review it seems that the games still have the same painfulls loading times, the same god awful animation, bad written dialogue and unintresting main quest.

What the fuck, i’m going to play fallout 2.

That GI score is a 8.5 not 8.25

@8 – They’ve changed that score. I’ll edit, though.

I loved F3, but new vegas looks totally disappointing to me. I’m very surprised about these high scores, looking forward to see the gt review.

@10: same here. loved 3 but i´m not feeling it this time. the vegas setting doesn´t impress me at all. i hate poker/ gambling mini games as well. looks like an ultrabig dlc expansion to me. looks also a bit dated. so many good games right now. i´ll probably pick it up sometime later – or never.
@3: because of the dlc time exclusive plans i´d recommend buying the 360 version – then again you better not support this shit and go for pc or ps3.

Obsidian should only make squels for other people and not make a game

Might pick this up sooner than i thought judging from the scores! Yeah hopefully this means that Dungeon Seige 3 might turn out alright since its being done by Obsidian too isn’t it?

No, Obsidian should only work with people who make very stable toolsets to aid their engine.

The same reason bethesda have such a superb mod community, is the same reason Obsidian was able to pull it off.

To be nasty they are massive mod team, with a unfortunate production arm.

Edge were among the few who rightfully gave the overrated overhyped mess that was Fallout3 a 7.

Fallout 3 was incredible and deserved the high praise. Apart from a few lockups much much later in the game, i never experienced any bugs. People are over-reacting with the ‘full of bugs’ talk.

oh, here we go again. doesn’t matter, the game got full marks based purely on it’s appeal to general public. simple as that. anything higher than 8 for Oblivion with guns is laughable.

I loved Fallout 3 to bits. I liked Oblivion, but FO3 was better.

There, I said it! :-D

@7:

From the destructoid review:

New Vegas is better written, better paced and (most importantly) far more amusing than Fallout 3. With Obsidian behind the steering wheel, no opportunity has been missed to infuse the Fallout 3 gameplay model with a flavor that is distinctly old school. Familiar faces such as the New California Republic and the Followers of the Apocalypse make influential appearances, and the game is stuffed with nods to the original Fallout and its sequel. While newcomers will find plenty to love, this is most certainly a game developed with lifelong fans in mind.
