Halo: Reach level cap to be raised

Hot on the heels of the revelation that more man-years have been spent playing Halo: Reach than it would take to build 16 Eiffel Towers, comes word from Bungie that the game’s level cap is to be boosted.
Bungie has set a target for players – once 117 million daily and weekly challenges have completed, the developer will bump the cap:
“When you do cross the 117 Million mark, we’ll celebrate by blowing the lid off the level cap! In the immediate aftermath, new ranks and armor will be made magically available for you inside The Armory, provided you have the rank and credits required.”
The current level cap is Lt Colonel Grade Three, with all credits earned by a player after this point stockpiled.
Bungie is expecting the target to be hit “sometime in November”.
