Quake Arena Arcade gets new gameplay footage

Remember this? It’s still about.
Two new videos have emerged of Quake Arena Arcade gameplay, following a year-long blackout.
The pair of clips come from the game’s official Twitter.
The title was announced way back at QuakeCon 2007 for Xbox Live Arcade, but it’s all been quiet until now.
Watch the vids below and hope there’s a release date coming very soon.
Thanks, Joystiq.

Classic masterpiece that will never die. But interface sucks ass compared to the original. Why change it?
Ahhh that armor sound: Schwing-schwing!
PS: The most cool thing that All Call Of Duty franchises is being made on THIS engine
how cool is that?

Rail gun with a controller won’t help much actually. Without a decent precision it’s almost useless, unless some luck.

Quake games been good till Unreal games showed up
Any Unreal Game is well better then any Quake
but then Quake had some good maps
like legendary The Edge from Q2

@Erth.
You’re right about that. The imprecise control systems that pads have essentially mean that splash damage weapons are your best bet.

Why do you want Quake Areana on consoles and to pay for it whan you can have it for free on PC with enhanced graphics. Also how the fuck you want to play Quake with controller. This game is so fast. Even with mouse sometimes hitting things is hard as hell. Also with all the jumps it is even harder. I just can’t understand.

@9, I know what you mean, but everyone will be in the same boat!, I would imagine it’ll be tweaked for controllers.

Yes, I remember news of this – rated by Australian rating board as a multiplatform title.
Xbox Live? What else? Perhaps PSN and Wii-ware… No PC – Quake 3 Arena is still being sold after all.
P.S. Last time I’ve checked bots were much more dangerous on highest difficulty.

i disagree.
imo Quake ]|[ Arena has at least the same state of legendaryness as the original Unreal Tournament. Both are giants when it comes to fast paced online FPS
Q3DM6 rail-only instagib ftw
