Vanquish trailer shows loads of massive enemies

SEGA and Platinum Games released a new video for Vanquish showing off the enemies you’ll fight in the game.
It’s posted below, courtesy of IGN, and shows a massive robot getting his head punched-off.
Game’s out on October 19 in the US and October 22 in the UK for PS3 and Xbox 360.
If you plan on pre-ordering the game in the UK, check Play.com as you’ll also get Bayonetta as a bonus.

Have the devs actually said how long we can expect the campaign to last? Seeing as theres nothing but that in the game it better be well over 15 hours. I’d say anything under 10 and Sega can expect poor sales.

@2 Second GOTFY.
#1 would be Bayonetta.
@3 They told me at E3 that it will be the typical 10 = 15 hour length you get with this sort of game, alongside the varying difficulties that really open up these games for those who really want the extra challenge.

@5 who said expect lots of replay value?
same guys who brought you Bayonetta that lacked replayed value! All you do is replay the damn story over and over!
this game would be the same, with challenge mode.
which is aimed at hardcore players.
game will be forgotten within a month just like Bayonetta.

do you know what’s ‘replay value’? it’s when you have fun replaying the same game again and again.
Bayonetta wasn’t even remotely the same on harder difficulties. all the enemies were different on Hard/infinite mode.
forgotten by whom? everyone i know played it for months, unlocking craploads of weapons, accessories, additional characters, mastering abilities, and if all that wasn’t enough then beating the Alfeim portals.
you truly are clueless.

@11 in the way you put it then almost no game has any replay value since you’re actually playing the story over in most games
Unlocking difficulties in which the game not just becomes challenging but there are also enemies in different places from your previous playthrough,as well as unlocking new weapons and characters are considered replay value.
do i need to mention Achievements/trophies? which you need 3 playthroughs at least to get them all

Bayonetta has tonnes of replay value, unless you’re a chicken and never venture outside of normal difficulty.

I played it today at eurogamer.
I think this industry needs less of this shit.
there is nothing new here, and although I am a fan of people taking an old forumula and just doing it justice, lets be honest, we are in no short supply of shooters. Its gears in white, with a cigarete.
