NPD August 2010: Xbox 360 outsells rival consoles again, Madden pushes for the win
NPD has released August sales figures for the US, showing Xbox 360 outsold PS3 and Wii for the third month in a row, and held four games in the software top 10.
While all may be well and good in Xbox 360 Land, the industry as a whole was down.

Runic considering PvP for Torchlight II, happy to be venturing into the overland
Runic Games CEO Max Schaefer has said the firm’s not only looking into some PvP elements for Torchlight II, but it’s also very excited folks will be able to go out into the Overland this time around, instad of being stuck in the underworld most of the time.

Swarm trailer is short, sweet, rather zany
Hothead games has released a small trailer, showing of the quirkiness of Swarm.
We were given a demonstration of the game at PAX, and it looks rather fun, and if you checked out the developer walkthrough of the game we posted last week, you’ll get to see exactly what we saw during the hourly demonstration.

Valve would like Steamworks on Xbox 360, but it’s “not up to us”
Valve’s Gabe Newell and Erik Johnson believe the studio could have done a better job catering to the console crowd, and have admitted “total failure” on the studio’s part to support its offerings on PS3 and Xbox 360.
