The Last Story gets January 27 JP launch

Nintendo’s just announced at its big 3DS event in Japan that The Last Story will release on January 27, 2011 in Japan.
Nothing else was mentioned in regards to the Mistwalker RPG, which was formally announced earlier this year.
No Western release has been formally announced yet for it.
To watch the game in action, hit this.
As for 3DS, the conference has just got to it. Stay tuned.

Not hearing much about this over here. Is it even getting a Western release?

I think it was teased at E3 one year, yet all we’ve heard about so far is a Japanese release.
But considering most, if not all, of Mistwalker’s stuff comes west anyways, it’d be a fair guess to say we will.

@2 yeah right, just like say, all Fatal Frames were being released in the west up until the series went to Wii.
MW released three games so far: Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Ash. and only their first two titles came out in the west.

Awesome. I’ve been following this game very closely for a while now. Something about it has me very excited about the title.
