Wii Remote Plus outed then pulled by GameStop

flingsmash

GameStop posted a game called FlingSmash on its website this week, and while that's usually not a big deal, what is huge about it is that it comes bundled with something called the Wii Remote Plus.

The controller appears to be a marriage between Wii Motion Plus and the Wii Remote, obviously, and it comes bundled with FlingSmash - a game that "combines the hands-on fun of tennis with the nonstop action and instant gratification of pinball" and is slated for November.

A Nintendo spokesperson confirmed to Eurogamer the Wii Remote Plus "is real" but said: "We have nothing to announce on this at the moment."

GameStop has since removed the offending image, but not before GamesRadar and Kotaku took screenshots of the boxart.

We'll mail Nintendo, but we don't expect to hear anything different from what Eurogamer was told.
