TGS organiser still discussing 3-4 day week for next year

TGS

TGS organiser CESA has said it's still discussing if it'll be holding the event in a three- or four-day week in 2011.

This year's event saw two business days for press and retailers, while the final two days were open to the general public, with a record attendance of over 200,000 appearing at the Makuhari Messe

Despite the high turnout, the figure was still low compared to the 254,000 that visited German show gamescom in August.

CESA says next year's TGS will start on either September 15 or 16, depending on the number of business days, and will end on September 18.

This year's TGS saw the reveal of the EA Partners-Grasshopper horror Shadows of the Damned, a Devil May Cry reboot from Capcom and Ninja Theory, a Kinect blowout from Japanese developers and a holiday 2011 release for The Last Guardian, as well as a spring release for the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus PS3 Collection.
