New LBP2 trailer shows off grappling hook

If this fails, the world is doomed. Therefore, it can’t fail.
Sony mysteriously released a new LittleBigPlanet 2 trailer last night, showing off the uses of the grappling hook in a Tarzan-like level.
It was pulled, but LittleBigLand got ahold of the trailer for themselves.
The clip is really bona fide awesome. Do want, innit.
LBP2 releases on November 16 in the US. No exact date for Europe yet.
Thanks, Syrok.

That is amazing.
It looked really amazing at gamescom, so this should be nothing less then brilliant.

I take it most of that was done using the LBP2 tools (camera, voiceover etc)?
Really impressive and I will scrimp and save my student budget for this day one!

Fantastic. We are going to see a lot of remakes on the Bionic Commando.

Are they going to still let you import stuff using the PS3Eye? Should be a lot more people out there with cameras come release time.

@5
I’d assume so.
Although MM/Sony are going to have one hell of a time protecting copyright this time round. Not alone will they have to scope out PSeye stuff they’ll have to look for music and recorded audio!
Although, I haven’t heard of Modnation Racers content being pulled yet… Perhaps Sony is more lenient now?
After all, is imitation stuff protected under parody laws?

@6 Media Molecule say themselves they were impressed by the number of level’s paying homage to games of the past, so I assume these user generated level’s haven’t broken any copyright etc?

LBP is such a fantastic game but I feel it was ruined for me with the constant microtransactions. Go to the PSN store under LBP and add up ALL the extra content. Wow.

Hilariously, the web-swinging in this is better than the web-swinging in Shattered Dimensions.
Looks amazing. Can’t wait.
@9 95% of it is costumes. You don’t need to buy them. The level packs are totally worth the money though, and they’re great.
