Gearbox drops details on Claptrap DLC for Borderlands

viva la claptrap

Gearbox has dropped some extra details on its upcoming DLC, Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution.

As previously announced, the DLC will not raise the game's level cap, but Gearbox has you covered with a free patch prior to the DLC release, that will bump your character up by eight levels.  Those without the General Knoxx DLC will get a bump to 58, while the former will get up to 69.

Revolution opens with a "diorama-style tale of Claptraps revolting" and modifying the population. You will traverse six new zones on foot, pick up quests from the Tartarus Station quests, fight loads of new and old enemies  given the "claptrap treatment" along with both General Knoxx and Dr. Ned - which should be interesting.

The DLC will scale with your level, and should you decide to play through twice, you'll get two extra skill points and six SDUs for storage.

Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution is slated for September 28 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
