Sony answers loads of your PlayStation Move questions

Got loads of questions regarding PlayStation Move? No worries. Sony has you covered.
Thanks to a rather large FAQ posted over on the US PS Blog, Sony has answered just about every question you could possibly come up with regarding the new motion controller.
Those wondering about pricing, the basics, how it works, the best position to set the camera, who it’s geared toward and more, are all answered for you through here.
Hopefully, it will clear up any unresolved questions you may have regarding the device.
As far as the games are concerned, it looks as if those wanting to try Move titles before they drop some hard-earned cash are in luck: most Move titles will get a demo before launch.
So, that’s good news there as well.
PlayStation Move hits retail on September 15 and 19 in Europe and the US, respectively.

They’ve also launched several sites:

http://www.movemadeabsurdlyeasy.com
http://www.movevsstuff.com
http://www.sensitivefireman.com
The fireman one is awesome.

Question: Why do British/EU gamers get shafted when it comes to bundles?
We get a poxy demo disk akin to something you’d get free with the PS1, whereas the Americans get Sports Champions!!
I’m planning to get Move come Christmas with a new PS3 (an essential purchase for Uni) and it sucks that the bundle hasn’t got a game packed in.
PS. Sensitive Fireman rocks!!!

Also, Americans get the demo disk with the Sports Champions bundle as well!!!
Sony really need to start unifying their international studios.

Yeah, that is stupid. I would have gotten the bundle despite already owning the Eye if it came with a game. Now i’ll just pick up Move and use it in whatever games it gets patched into till The Fight comes out.

It’s odd, I’m not very excited for the Move but considering Shopto is selling the 320gb Move PS3 for £265 (£5 more than they are selling the 250gb model).
Seems silly not to pay the extra.

“Sony really need to start unifying their international studios”
Tell me about it.
I was reading an interview the other day on TSA I think with one of managers from SCEE talking about all things PS, and what struck me was his (SCEE) and SCEA’s frustration with Sony Japan holding all the cards when it comes to improving PlayStation and PSN. SCEA and SCEE want the west to start developing the firmware and software and managing all the conent and community stuff, instead of Japan. Sony Japan and the Japanese in general just do not get the whole social gaming and multiplayer thing that Xbox are good at for example, and it seems to be bugging Sony West.
I’d love to see the whole thing unified, SCEA building the software and Japan doing the hardware. But at the moment Japan won’t do it.

I have a question that they haven’t answered. What if I have two move controllers and I rub my balls vigorously. Will that damage my balls?

@7
No, but you’ll damage the fleshy patch where your balls used to be

Agreed.
I don’t even think Japan should be working on the hardware.
Call me xenophobic but I’d much rather Sony were an American company. They would be more in-tune with western gamers desires and we’d probably have less foolish products (PSP-GO).

Dear Playstation,
Does the “PlayStation Eye Camera” connect via USB-cable or wireless via Bluetooth?

I can answer that one… USB.

Hmmm …
So anyone with a projector/beamer setup needs a very, very long USB cable.
And in addition you loose one of the two USB ports on your PS3. This really should have been a BT device.

@16, $5-10 & you can have more ports with a USB hub, look for one saying ‘with power’ or something like that, just look around, some places may want $20-30, they’re just plain ripping you off.
@17, soz, had this page open before you posted
