Mafia II banned in UAE

Shock.
MEGamers is reporting that Mafia II has been in the United Arab Emirates, although no reason was given as to why.
The game is the latest to join the ranks of those refused sale in the country, including Darksiders, Heavy Rain, God of War III and even Dragon Age 2 next year, according to the site.
Sympathies, etc.

Ah… fuck…
Poltical correctness is fucking inane and people are ‘offended’ too easily.
What the fuck does ‘offended’ really mean nowadays anyway?
I’m ‘offended’ by xFactor… Do they stop making a mockery of pop music and exploiting talentless hics? NO!
I can appreciate minority’s oppression (be it gay, black, jewish, arab etc), and can’t tolerate those who exploit those in a malicious way.. .But seriously, some people need to calm the fuck down!
(I’ll shut up now).

Huh, it is funny to me when you said “I’m sure nobody likes it”.
I’m sure that Jews like Hitler.
@Amir Mirzaee: I think you’re one of those brainwased people, “oh looooool, muslims suck, they live with outdated laws”.
Just grow up a bit and try to respect people.
@26: what you have said have nothing to do with Islamic laws. You can find ignorant people everywhere, in every nation.

@60
What’s involved in that?
Do you have to have prior teaching experiencing, degrees, etc or is it just a ‘yo, I can speak english, they can’t, let me help’ kinda deal?

Don’t you just love those conversations where a guy comes out of nowhere and is like “Hey, I love Hitler, he’s my idol. Racism is awesome”.
That’ll just brighten up any sort of topic.
@61 I wasn’t talking about Islamic laws at all. I wasn’t even judging it. I don’t see how it’s my business how anyone runs their country. I’m just saying those societies work in a profoundly different way.

Na’am. Should be this month if all goes well.
Can’t wait tbh…
I live in one of the roughest areas of London, and it’d be nice to walk to fajr in the masjid without having to step over pools of blood next to cash machines or having to try and avoid stolen cars involved in police chases!
lol.

@ 60:
You usually need a minimum of a degree and a teaching qualification like a CELTA.
After that, most places look for at least 2 years experience teaching abroad, but it’s possible to find those that don’t if you look hard enough.

I thought the British people were pretty annoying when I was there.
I got on a bus, and the busdriver was like “Owight?” (Alright?) and I was like “Alright what? What are you getting at?” and he was like “Are yew owight?” (Are you alright?) and I was like “Well yeah, why wouldn’t I be? Am I limping or what?” And the guy was like “It’s a common greetin’ mate” and I was just like “Dude, you guys are retarded”.
I thought only the Irish were supposed to throw riddles at you for no particular reason.

lol! That’s a coincidence, because most of us find the Americans to be pretty annoying when they’re over here too…
Especially the way you guys feel the need to TALK REALLY LOUD JUST SO THAT EVERYONE AROUND KNOWS THAT YOU’RE AMERICAN.

The Irish do that on purpose.
Ask an Irishman for directions and you will be baffled and still none the wiser.
Take a look at this if You want to know how to be totally baffled.

Go see that Dance Central vid from Cologne I did. I love the fact I can’t be as mocked for my voice then those in the south.

Sorry Crysis, but I have to say that I hate the Australian accent. I find it unnecessarily nasal.
My personal fave is (southern) Georgian English. No idea why, but it’s easy on my ears.

proper australian accent can be sexy, it’s rare. im autralian, but the english here is pretty broken, like the british. only americans pronounce their words correctly. for example, the word propper, americans will pronounce the er at the end, while australians will say propa.

our accents differ by states aswell tho, Sydney folk will pronounce tomato, tmoayto while us South Aussies will pronounce it tomarto & those from Sydney generally sound like they have a blocked nose, while us South Aussies speak with a generally deeper tone.
Also, we do often say, G’day, Mate & cheers, but i HATE how the Americans’ make us sound.
Listen to Hugh Jackman & that’s how we generally speak, though you can feintly hear the blocked nose nasaly sound from him
