Enslaved – Get your questions answered by Ninja Theory

enslaved4

It looks awesome, it’s out next month, it’s gone Gold and it’s just gotten an 86 percent from GamesMaster.

Enslaved. It’s coming. What do you want to know about it?

We’ve already spoken to developer Ninja Theory about the game twice this year, once in Barcelona during a pre-E3 Namco bash and once in Brighton during Develop.

But what do you guys want to know about the game? Stick your questions in the comments below, and we’ll cherry pick the best to get answered by NT.

Sadly, unlike our MS community interviews, there are no prizes this time. Unless you count ego-boosting as a prize. In which case, push for the win.

We’ll stop taking questions by the end of play this Friday.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West launches in the UK on October 8 for PS3 and 360.

I noticed in the game trailers that some objects glow during the acrobactic action, which bothers me. There will be an option to turn this off?

Ninja Theory was ostensibly one of the first developers to start preparing for the then “next-gen” consoles, prototyping and creating assets well before the launch of the 360 and PS3. Looking back, and having built a game on both a bespoke engine and upon a middleware solution, do you still think your early-brid approach was the right one?

Many publishers have publicly labelled the preowned market as the scourge of profitability. Enslaved is a singleplayer, story-driven title, so how do you hope to encourage people to hold on to their copies once they’ve seen the credits roll?

Was Enslaved a hard sell when finding a publisher? Did the game itself change drastically during the pitching process?

Was multiplayer (Co-op, etc.) considered at any point during the design?

So Heavenly Sword was apparently planned to be a trilogy. What was the plot going to be for the next games?

It does look great, agree with Blandoc about the glowing objects tho.. It kinda takes away from the experience.

Q: What should we expect in the form of DLC? (eg. More story, Outfits, Weapons etc)

The game is based on the Chinese tale of “Monkey” will the awesome “Monkey Magic” theme song from the TV series make it into the game, possibly as an easter egg or simply the games title song as it’s better than anything you could come up with anyway?
