Activision racer Blood Drive rated by BBFC

The BBFC’s rated Blood Drive, a violent Activision racer due this year.
The game hasn’t been announced by the publisher, but Amazon’s listing it for an October release. This doesn’t seem very likely, quite frankly.
It’s racing combat in the desert, from the look of it. Here’s what Amazon has to say:
- Motorized Vehicles on Steroids ? THE CARS ARE THE STARS! Battle-hardened & itching to be modded with killer weaponry and armor pick-ups
- Zombies with Attitude: Diverse and interesting zombies lifted from the streets of faux Vegas, each replete with unique attitudes and innovative ways to kill them
- Rewarding motorized combat with enemy vehicles, including souped-up muscle cars, hot rods, wreckers, and more
- Tournament Structured Gameplay: Enter the most gruesome and violent tournament on earth. Battle through 10 plus events and different levels in the ultimate fight for your life
- Multiplayer Bloodbath: With Online and LIVE play, the game is a target-rich environment with drop-in, drop-out playability
We’ll ask Activision about it this morning. Thanks, CVG.

This is the reson that gaming is becoming more risky for developers and publishers. Who has ever heard of this? Who is gonna buy it? A few, but this is going split shares of weekly sales even smaller.

I can honestly say I’ve never heard of this game.

Me neither. Sounds like a Carmageddon-alike based solely on the title premise.

Me neither, and that’s not something that happens often either.
Probably be another Singualrity to be honest. Acti can just churn out stuff and not even bother marketing it.

Killer weaponry is fail.
The thing that made Carmageddon so diabolically fun was the fact that you were actually using your car as a weapon instead of a racer.

Can honestly say I’d never heard of it when it rocked up either! I think it’s from their budget line up, similar to Soldier of Fortune the other year.
They also gave us a release date for November this year.
