Sony makes no mention of The Last Guardian in TGS line-up

thelastguardian

And this morning was going so well. Sony’s announced Tokyo Game Show line-up, with most of its focus on Move and 3D – and no mention of The Last Guardian.

The Team ICO title has been hidden as of TGS last year, when its last big trailer was released, with only small nuggets dropped since by Fumito Ueda.

Here it is again, just in case you missed it.

It may still be in Tokyo in video form, but with the game not listed on the teaser website from SCEJ, it’s looking a bit 50-50.

Ueda had said earlier this year that lots of info on the game will be coming in 2010, with SCEA execs hinting at more from TGS at E3 in June.

The dev boss also said last month he had “something” to show at TGS. Can’t be anything other then TLG. Right?

Move, 3D dominate Tokyo for Sony

Outside of The Last Guardian though, Sony has made clear its focus for the show: Move and 3D, as it’s been for E3 and gamescom.

It’s also split up its booth by platform: PS3, PSP, Move, 3D and a mix of the latter two.

Full line-up for the PS3 and PSP booths are below, with one unannounced game also due at both booths. Everything else is over at Andriasang.

TGS takes place from September 16-19.

  • PlayStation 3
  • Trinity Zill 0′ll Zero
  • World Soccer Winning Eleven
  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
  • Front Mission Evolved
  • Vanquish
  • Gran Turismo 5

  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Tales of Graces F
  • Ni No Kuni
  • PSP
  • Monster Hunter Portable 3rd
  • World Soccer Winning Eleven

I don’t know how these line-ups work,but all those games are playable,correct?

If TLG isn’t,then surely that’s why they omitted it from the line-up. We could just get a new trailer.

I can easily see this not coming out for another year. Still, if it means it’s prefect than so be it.

I notice Fumito Ueda keeps going on about agile scrum development on twitter which suggests to me that at least they’ve got their shit sorted out management wise.

@6

The ignore function will never arrive, and moderators seem incapable of doing thier job so it’s best to take matters into your own hands.

This script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/44495 works wonderfully at hiding retards and loudmouthed children from your screen.

It’s for Firefox but I think there is a Chrome variant too. Nothing for I.E. as far as I know.

Enjoy!

I love the previous two Ueda games (and would buy a hi def / smooth framerate re-release without question) so am expecting to love this too.

It’s a little sad that there appears to be no update on this, but there seem to be so many other high-caliber games on the horizon that I’m sure I’ll cope. :)
