EA registers The Sims 4 domain [Update]

Update: As Destructoid points out, EA’s also register TheSims5.com, TheSims6.com and TheSims7.com. Guess there’s no need to call the Hardy Boys.
Original: EA has registered TheSims4.com, suggesting its currently working on yet another title in the series. Bet you never saw that coming.
The Sims 3 was released on PC back in June. EA will release console versions for 360 and PS3 later this year.
EA registered the new website at the start of July.
This could of course just be EA protecting its products, but with the company promising to reveal several games at its showcase in Tokyo next month, don’t bet against this being one of them.
Thanks, Systemlink.

Already? But, Sims 3 doesn’t have 12 expansion yet.

EA registering sequel to successful franchise shock! Somebody call the lynch squad.
“Gamers” are likely to boo this strip-mined series of games out of the room with this announcement, and yet the same gamers would have an on the spot joygasm if MGS5 were officially announced… counting the first two NES Metal Gear games and the various spinoffs, we must be close to 10 games in that series, now. But EA have the gall to release a 4th title in a successful franchise? BOOO!

being honest there is only one thing i hate aboutt the sim franchise, the amount of expansion packs they do, it just feels like a nickel and dime approach. BTW will the console version of 3 have the expansions on it?

Except I woke up with your mother this morning.
@4 They will most likely sell them through Live and PSN so I would think so.

Don’t expect this on consoles or PC this gen.
