Revenge. Cartoon, 2D graphics. A big sword. Shooting people in the face. All the things you like. But can Shank do the do? Hit the link for the final verdict.
In short, sort of. The EA-published Klei actioner pulled a middling-to-good spread from its US reviews last night, as you can see below.

i guess there’s no difference, i think xbox always works out cheaper, and i have two xbox pads, i can play co-op with my nan

@ Callum, don’t think so nope. Looks like a combination of some sort of skeletal/ik system or a looser equivalent and invidividual sprites for the body parts – swapping out for different variants at keyframes.

It reminds me of Viewtiful Joe. I gave up on that due to difficulty spikes.. That facking massive Pig boss totally ruined the game for me. I don;t have time to be retrying the same boos over and over. It gets boring. Shame, I think I’ll pass now.

The destructoid review does state that its quite difficult, and it took him 45mins to kill the final boss :/
that just makes me want it more

Yeah but in a couple of reviews there they mention them beating it in 3 hours, and the Destructoid one was 5 hours including that 45 min final boss. I’d buy it if it had online co-op but since it doesn’t i think i’ll wait a few months for it to be in deal of the week

Really on the fence with this. Talk of a 45 minute end boss and difficulty spikes are putting me right off though.

I played the demo and was expecting a great game, but after a few minutes i got bored. It’s very repetitive and the boss is a joke. I really expected more from this.

It’s good stuff this. Simple enough, but chaining your attacks together for combos is good fun. £7.99 would have been more reasonable though.
