Resistance 3 finally announced in Cologne [update]

Never played 1, hated 2… 3?…….meh

Enjoyed 1, hated 2, will try 3.

Sony was good.

2 games announced + Mass Effect 2 is coming for PS3

EA was good too. Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, Bulletstorm, Shift and e.t.c.

Microsoft? Well, it’s Microsoft. Announced as always a shitty Online game from the amazing Age Of Empires franchise. >:(

Decent showing all in all. Would of liked some updates on the firmware side, but that’ll come.

Gamescom is really showing itself to be a convention for big game annoucements, well at least in Sonys case

I’m not much into this genre but i liked the first one…the second was decent although i liked the story and the setting a bit more than the first.
Wonder what happens next now that Hale is……

1 was awesome lost a lot of sleep…2 story sucked big time….3 needs to be their salvation if they want this series to be held in high regards for times to come.

In other words….

1: I would marry
2: I would fuck only
3: I would date….just to see how things turned out

Not much to do with the game, but the atmosphere is thick: I hope that translate into gameplay.

good trailer hopefully more like R1 than R2. Some disparancy however about where this falls chronologically on neogaf tho, some think it is between 1 and 2, which if true would just piss me off

Interesting to see Insomniac playing their cards close to their chest. I think they’re pretty determined to get this one right before letting people get the briefest of glimpses.

By the way, is it me or this trailer looked a little bit like Left 4 Dead?

3:25 length teaser? that’s something new, anyway, it looks a bit weird because first, it looks like a very early New York,the people also had oil lamps, second, it doesn’t looks like it has the new moon thingy from the end of R2…

Loved the atmosphere and story telling in 1 but the early level and game design were poor. I enjoyed 2 but it wasn’t a classic by any stretch and in the story telling it went backwards – though the very end of the story was very well done. I agree with AHA-Lambda – the trailer is good and puts me more in mind of 1 than 2 – which is a good thing.

On a general point I’d have preferred to see Insomniac work on something new. They do at least make smooth FPS with great controls. A little more control of the design aspect and a retro step in the story telling/atmosphere to be more like 1 could be great.

Didn’t get a chance to say this in Cologne, but anyways, I like what Sony’s doing with the live-action reveals of its games
