gamescom 2010 – EA press conference liveblog is a go! go! go!

It’s German go-time for EA. Following a conference last year which was full with the AAA goodness of Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and more, the publisher returns to Cologne with its 2010 big guns.

Expect more on the likes of Dead Space 2, Bulletstorm, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, as well as the European public unveiling of FIFA 11 and the multiplayer reveal of Crysis 2.

You’re also likely to hear first details on Need for Speed: SHIFT 2. What you absolutely will see at the conference is a first Dragon Age 2 look from BioWare.

And there’s been a bit of a chatter in the past 24 hours too of Mass Effect finally making the jump to PS3, so watch for that, just in case.

Oh, and there’s that “something great” from DICE. What could it be?

If Mass Effect 1&2 come to PS3, I will quite literally jump for joy. Stick both games on a Blu Ray with all the DLC for 40 notes and I’ll be there day one.

I think ME2 sold below expectations for EA, so it could very well be the case that they’re hoping to make ME3 a multi platform game, and the only way they can really do that is to bring the first two games to PS3 beforehand.

Of course we could just get ME2 and a Shenmue 2 style prequel film, but the sweet spot has to be the two games on one disc. Fingers are very tightly crossed for this one.

if that mass effect thing happens, it’s likely they’ll slap both onto the one disk then sell it @ the same price as a new game

i just realised 1 thing i hate about feeds, when they switch from someone speaking to a video, they always blast the videos sound, i’d rather it was the same otherwise its either too loud during videos or too quiet during talking parts.

Without decent precision in Crysis playing multiplayer is absolutely stupid and not interesting at all.

Bulletstorm is awesome.

@45, agree, but this rail FPS look awesome. Say what you want but Epic Games in that are massive.
