LOTR: War in the North trailer is full of orc slaying goodness

Snowblind and Warner released the gamescom video for Lord of the Rings: War in the North today.

Watch orcs get their heads lobbed off below.

War in the North has players “become heroes” in the great battle of the North as part of the epic War of the Ring.

You get to exploring unseen lands, story elements, and characters from Middle-earth as well as elements familiar from the films.

The game allows for character customization and development, has co-op, and upgradeable weapons, skills, and special abilities.

Snowblind did a great job on Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath for PS2, so we have high hopes for this brutal looking game.

It’s to be made available in 2011 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
