Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition listed on ShopTo

bfbc2

Gamerzines has spotted a listing from ShopTo showing an “Ultimate Edition” of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

According to the page, it’s out in the UK on September 3 for 360 and PS3.

The pack will contain unlocks from the Limited Edition as well as from the VIP content, Onslaught mode and even Battlefield 1943,

This may tie in nicely with a Battlefield 3 announcement on Tuesday.

It isn’t the first time an Ultimate Edition from EA’s been spotted this week: one for Dragon Age: Origins has also been listed.

We’ll email EA.

@1 The TBA says Winter 2010. But in Dice years that could mean a lot. If it takes aeons to port BF1943, I can’t imagine how much difficulty they’ll have with an expansion.

I don’t think 1943 is difficult, just that they have so much on their plate at the moment that they don’t have the man power to do something which might not bring in much green.

@3 I know. I’m mostly teasing. I realize they’re the FPS response squad for EA, and they’re probably being worked into the ground. I’m just not too impressed with what I’ve seen from them, since Battlefield 2 and Rallisport Challenge.

Still, it shouldn’t take that long to port a small game that’s supposedly good, and likely to make some money.

EA has really got to start putting together some more FPS teams. I guess they know that already though, and are on the case.

Danger Close
Dice
EA Montreal

plus their deals with Respawn, Epic and Crytec.

@6 I honestly wish they’d do the opposite and focus on quality instead of quantity.

They’re obviously trying to zerg the market. Not that I subscribe to Activisions “blockbusters only” strategy, but surely there has to be a middle ground.

To me what EA are doing just isn’t triple-A, it’s triple-B.
