Voice actor: Insomniac “working on more R&C”
Yeah, the Insomniac game most likely to be revealed in Germany in a week-and-a-half? It may not be Resistance 3 after all.
Voice actor David Kaye has told ShogunGamer the developer is currently “working on more” Ratchet & Clank.
When asked if he would be back for a Resistance sequel, he said: “Don’t know about Nate.
“There are some interesting developments always coming from Insomniac Games. We’re working on more R & C currently.”
Insomniac said last week it was announcing its new title anytime between now and a panel it’s hosting at PAX Prime in September for it, which potentially puts said new game on course for a reveal at gamescom.
The developer also confirmed it would be a “PlayStation 3 project”, which rules it out being the new multiplatform title it has in development for PS3 and 360 via EA Partners.
Another title, of course, also said to be in development is Resistance 3, which was outed a bit more with a retail listing last month.
SCEE’s refused to comment on whether the shooter will finally be announced in Germany.
Hopefully, we’ll soon see what happens as gamescom takes place from August 18-22 in Cologne.

New Ratchet & Clank? Cool. I enjoyed them all. Not the best platformer and the best innovation, but i like the world.

Dont be surprised if he’s actually talking about voicing Clank in Heroes on the Move rather then a new R&C game.
He wouldnt be voicing Nathan Hale again because the character is dead…

I’m with Gekidami on this one. It wouldn’t make sense for him to be back for Resistance 3 anyway, given the ending.

@4 – i highly doubt it given the leaks we’ve seen for it so far. That billboard one seemed pretty conclusive
but yea the lack of news from insomniac for so long on resistance has gotta say something (plus everybody seemed quite disappointed with R2 so that doesn’t help)
@5 – i heard rumours of him coming back as a villain. Yep apparently he survived that headshot =/

I’m not ready to say goodbye to Ratchet and Clank just yet.
I only hope there are some new gameplay mechanics (like the time stuff in the last game) as a standard R&C game would feel old in 2011+.

Yeah, or even a PSP2 launch title. I absolutely love the R&C games, but I’d be surprised to see Insomniac return to the franchise on PS3 so quickly. As great a game as ACIT was, sadly it didn’t set the charts on fire and having put three games out in the series this gen, I think they should give the franchise a bit of a breather.
