Bethesda’s told MCV that pre-orders of Fallout: New Vegas are doing better then those for Fallout 3.

The Obsidian-developed title has been doing well for itself, even winning several E3 awards, and now, the publisher says demand for the title is now larger than the 2008 sequel.

“Fallout: New Vegas pre-orders are far outstripping those of Fallout 3,” said Bethesda’s EU director, Sarah Seaby. “Based on the feedback from gamers, we anticipate fans will enjoy returning to the Fallout universe, where they will experience a new story in an exciting New Vegas setting.

“While players will find Fallout: New Vegas very familiar due to the similar control scheme found in Fallout 3, they’ll also find that the developers over at Obsidian have made a number of refinements after taking a look at fan feedback.

“We’re looking forward to when the game launches across Europe on October 22nd.”

For the record, you should keep an eye out for New Vegas, going on by what we saw of it back in April.

Fallout: New Vegas releases on October 19 in the US and October 22 in Europe for PS3, 360 and PC.

The game’s really big. But they should do something about the graphics, it badly feels outdated. But I’m going to play it anyway. I still find things in F3 wasteland. It’s enormous.

@2 Obsidian shits on everything that they touch. I still don’t understand how they get the titles that they do. And of course they fuck up other peoples IP’s. KOTOR2 was so full of bugs and broken, just like NWN2 was. They’re just lucky that companies keep spoon feeding them with IP’s to play with.

@3: Oddly enough, nor am I. I loved the first two Fallout games, and Fallout 3 was great… but everything I’ve seen on this says it’s not a step forward.
