Bayonetta gets Greatest Hits release in Japan

That new Bayonetta “information” that was promised by director Yusuke Hashimoto on Monday? Hope you weren’t expecting much.
Sega’s announced in Japan that Bayonetta will be a Classics release for PS3 and 360.
The re-release will include the original game, as well as a reversible cover and a trailer reel which includes Platinum’s other big console title Vanquish.
It’ll release on September 2 for ¥3,990 on PS3′s the Best range and Xbox 360′s Platinum Hits series.
It’s not yet known if this is the big news Hashimoto promised on Monday, but chances are it most likely is.
Thanks, Andriasang.

“Good morning. It looks like we’ll be able to share new information related to Bayonetta this week. Look forward to it”.
Not exactly wording for big news anyway.

The assumption is that when ever a developer teases news, that news would be intereting enough to tease.
It never is, but it starts a buzz anyway.

Did you just hold down and vomit on Robo_1? I mean, given the story its kinda justified I guess…just things are getting a little creepy

I thought it would be a brand new downloadable ending. More annoying with more and longer fights… Of course worth 20GBP…

Don’t titles have to ship/sell a minimum number of units to qualify to “greatest hits” status or something? If so, good for them.
Given that these guys also made great games like Okami and God Hand which had little backing and sold poorly – resulting in Capcom shutting that arm of their studio down, it’s good to see indications of good sales. Hopefully enough to keep bringing us stylish entertainment like Bayonetta and Vanquish.
