Sony’s confirmed its released a newly updated version of Firmware 3.41 for PS3, which originally launched last week.

The new update allows users to update the console properly if you have swapped a PS3 HDD with a new one.

It was reported last week that some users had problems installing the update if it had replaced a PS3 HDD recently.

But all’s well in the world again.

There’s more on the EU PS Blog.

My 60GB has been freezing while playing E.A. games. Hope this fixes it.

I just about a month ago, swapped out my 60 gig with a 500 gig, and the Update went all the way through no problem. I haven’t been playing games, just renting movies. Rented Batman: Red Hood…and it played all the way through no issues…but maybe this only affects games???
