Resistance 3 for gamescom? No comment, says Sony
We might be ready for a Resistance 3 gamescom reveal, but Sony’s not saying if it is too.
“I’m afraid I can’t comment on this,” a SCEE rep told Beefjack when asked if we would see a reveal in Germany.
Insomniac revealed last week it was set to announce its new “PlayStation 3 Project” anytime between now and a panel it’s hosting at PAX Prime in Washington in September, which very much sounds a lot like a gamescom announce to us.
It also adds on top of a recent US retailer listing for the shooter, which shows a direct-feed logo of the game, the same one shown on a giant billboard last September, in a temp boxart.
Whatever happens, we’ll find out two weeks tomorrow when SCEE’s press conference takes place in Cologne. Myself and Pat will be there to liveblog the action.

Thats a yes then from sony.Resistance is a great series,at least its doing something different from the usual boring fps games that get regurgetated year in year out…..

Does anyone care? Seriously this gen has been fucking awful regarding exclusives from Sony/MS. Games like Gears, Halo, Resistance, Killzone, Infamous, MAG, Alan Wake, etc didn’t set my gaming world alight.
To describe them as Mediocre tripe is being kind, for me personally.
The triple AAA games have been multi-platform games i.e. Bioshock, Batman AA, Dead Space, Mass Effect 2 (PC), COD 4, L4D (PC), etc,
A sign of the times indeed. Console exclusivity doesn’t make commercial sense for developers/publishers anymore as they just lose money, unless it’s a first party company i.e. MS/Sony that bank role such games.
Next gen the gamer will see less exclusives than this gen. I’d put money on it…
If you’re going to make a console exclusive, at least make it a fucking good one.
Not all console exclusives are great (in fact most are shit) , yet try telling that to some of the MS/Sony fanboys who think everything is “fucking great”. Idiots!

Once this gen is over, I’ll look back fondly on inFamous, Uncharted, LBP and Gears (exclusive wise that is).
