Report – Xbox 360 box shots shows 250GB HDD sold separately

new360

A boxshot of the 4GB Xbox 360 has popped up online, revealing what appears to be a 250GB Xbox 360 S Hard Drive on it in the accessories area, suggesting you can purchase it separately.

Spotted by Gamerzines, the shot shows the Hard Drive “sold separately”, although it’s not on shelves anywhere at the moment.

The 4GB Xbox 360 goes on sale next month, so it’s being assumed the separate 250 HDD will as well, and considering Hard Drives have been made available for single purchase in the past it would not be too shocking.

We’ll contact Microsoft for confirmation on this, along with a date and price should it pony up an admission.

Does the new 360 have an ESATA connection?

Standard SATA connection internally, but unless you’ve got a hacked drive you’re not going to be able to use just any old thing. Apparently they like their moniez.

Not that I guess it really matters any more, I imagine a lot of people just use flash memory now.

i shall never buy an 360 hdd, i’ve got an 500gb hdd, while it’s limited to using 16gb- i should not need much more, just Dlc & profiles & then i can use my external hdd for viewing vids & music & photos without any of that BS transferal shit needed, so other than the limited space & the fact it needs another power output, it’s much more conveniant, but i end up using my ps3 as a media player anyways with it’s 320gb hdd, best media player imo, i even prefer it over pc
