Because boring, cookie-cutter headlines ALWAYS look better with a cute Japanese chick in the picture

PSP is the single lead format. DS won if you add up all the SKUs. That’s how M-Create presents them. Look at the bottom of the page – http://m-create.com/ranking/

Yes, the DS combined with its 27,000 different SKU’s has sold more. I don’t know why they just don’t group them together. NPD does, right?

…not to mention that by combining different SKU’s together the PSPgo would not look like the complete and utter failure it really is…

What happens to 3DS? Is that just “DS” as well?

At the end of the day, PSP Go is still a PSP. The DSi, DS Lite, DSiXL are all still the Nintendo DS. They play the same games I could of bought back in 2004 on the first one.
By the logic of breaking them up, you could list PS3 Fat, PS3 Slim, 360 Pro, 360 Arcade, 360 S etc etc.
It could go on and on. I reckon its just better to list them as one device.
3DS though, would be a different system as it will play new games the DS can’t. I think. Im confused now.

In response to the phoars about the cute chick in the picture, might I add to those not in the know that it’s an ad for an adult entertainment site for PSPs.
Not that roundabout naughtiness is in short supply on this website, but rather funny if indeed it was unintentional.

The 360 seems to have settled into a constant sales figure slightly higher than before the S launch. Average 6k compared to 3-4k before.
It’s still not a great figure, but it’s progress.

I think you dont have to group the sales, but please refrain from phrases like the one above. The “normal” PSP sold more, fact, but the iron fist has yet to be seen.
Otherwise split the PSP numbers in 1000/2000/3000/PSP stay
