Valve updates L4D2 with some much needed tweaks

Those who haven’t played Left 4 Dead 2 on PC in a while may wish to log in and load up the latest title update for the zombie shooter.
According to Valve, the update will hopefully stop players from “rage quitting” – like when bullets went through an Infected hitting a Survivor and were considered friendly fire.
That bit has been fixed for both Co-op and Versus.
The Charger and Tank were also tweaked a bit. In Versus Mode, the Charger will now give you a better score for “doing the right thing”, handing out more points for insta-kills, insta-incappeds, and ledge hangs. Tank changes are all statsis related, and can no longer be set on fire when in this mode.
“We checked some stats, did some testing, checked more stats, and did more testing,” wrote Valve on the L4D blog. “We have many more changes we are working on, some ideas failed, some were exploitable, and some were just bad ideas.
“What we are releasing today is not the sum of our answer to the problem, but simply some of the updates that are ready to ship.”
Valve said more updates are coming, and players could expect to “see more shortly”.

Like how Valve support their older games while working on newer ones, most give up on their older ones

All part of the “games as a service” philosophy.
