Sony confirms August 17 date for gamescom presser

SCEE's just confirmed it's holding its gamescom press conference on Tuesday, August 17 in Cologne.

The press conference kicks off at 6.00pm CET (5.00pm BST).

Sony's also announced the first batch of games its taking to the show, which includes:

Killzone 3
Gran Turismo 5
inFamous 2
LittleBigPlanet 2
DC Universe Online
Journey
Motorstorm: Apocalypse
Sorcery

This is only the second press conference to be announced for the show: EA said two weeks ago that it will be holding its presser on the same day as Sony's, earlier in the afternoon.

gamescom takes place between August 18-22.
