First Battlestar Galactica Online shots and details are pretty frakkin’ sweet

Uncross your fingers and unclench your teeth, Galactica fans. BigPoint’s seen fit to show off a smidge of Battlestar Galactica Online, and it’s actually looking – dare we say it – promising!

BigPoint jumped into Massively and entered a fiery freefall, and then quickly jumped back out – but not before releasing a bunch of tiny info nuggets, which we guess are the Vipers in this incredibly overwrought metaphor.

Chief among the new details is official confirmation of out-of-ship avatars, which come in both human and Cylon flavors. As with other MMOs, your avatar will be able to level up and gain access to more powerful ships and skills.

On top of, you know, having characters, Galactica Online will also feature two types of quests – daily and story-based – and will, after you’ve got some experience under your space-belt, allow you to command entire fleets.

    It’s a browser-based MMO.

I’m guessing it will be Free, but to have an additional content you need to pay, like (80% more levels, maps, items, quests and e.t.c.)

Or it will be absolutely free with Item Shop.
