Japanese Hardware Charts- PSP goes top again

That regime of change didn’t last long, did it? Following two weeks of DSi LL being at the top, PSP is king of hardware again in Japan.
The handheld sold 26k, while DSi LL was still strong enough to hold any challenges from Wii or PS3 by selling 25k.
Wii got 22k worth of sales, while PlayStation 3 sold 19k.
PSPgo was the wooden spoon this week, selling 1,5k.
The full lot is below. Last week’s data is here.
- PSP – 26,786
- DSi LL – 25,884
- Wii – 22,239
- PS3 – 19,473
- DSi – 16,318
- Xbox 360 – 5,936
- DS Lite – 4,895
- PS2 – 1,507
- PSPgo – 1,155

PS3 slowly but loosing it’s momentum in my opinion. It’s started to fade away.

Combined sales for DS are nearly double the PSP so its still entirely Nintys market.
Anyone have a graph for the year?

@1 in what way? Going by the charts it’s been pretty steady around those levels. No real sign of a dip at all. It’s the Wii that’s dipped in all markets this year.

@3
Agreed. I dont think a 1 month dip can be considered a downward trend!

@3 Thats the problem. It’s steady. What games Sony have for Japan? Gran Turismo? And some Gundam games? thats it?
While Ninty, have the strongest JP lineup for a while, this can hurt. Wii will be up at the end of the year.

@1 – it’s doing fine. The Wii’s only a couple of thousand above, and their positions have been reversed for a long time too. PSP and PS3 were the top one and two in Japan for a huge period earlier this year, I’m not sure where you’re extrapolating your data from.
The Last Guardian, GT5 and Final Fantasy Versus XIII are all big games on the horizon for the platform. There’s another Yakuza in development too.
Again, it’s doing fine.

Especially given that this time last year it was around the 8k a week mark.

Can’t we all just get along?
