2K quietly sending out invites to Spec Ops: The Line beta

2K’s confirmed to Joystiq that it has sent out invites to the multiplayer beta of Spec Ops: The Line.
After a reader of the site claimed he had got in to the beta, the publisher said it was commencing the taster, with more participants to be included soon.
“This is correct, beta invites for Spec Ops: The Line are going out to a small number of applicants,” said a rep.
“We’ll be allowing more people into the private beta in the coming weeks.”
2K also confirmed that the beta, as previously indicated, is 360-exclusive.
Spec Ops: The Line releases next year for PS3, 360 and PC.
