Japanese software: Wii Party tops charts

Media Create has released its Japanese software figures for the week of July 5-11, and Nintendo’s Wii Party moved 235K units during its first week of availability.
White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness, took second place with 176K copies moved, and the previous week’s chart-topper, Inazuma Eleven 3: World Challenge from Level 5, fell into third.
Crackdown 2 was released in Japan last week for Xbox 360, and debuted in seventh place moving 15K units.

Japanese sales of Nintendo games usually follow the same way as American and European sales too.

@2 Wii party’s essentially Mario Party with Mii’s. So its normal to get good sales.

Wii doubles ps3 in nnumber, but 235k of wii party is really far from the double of 176k of wkc.
Think about it.;)

@6 I’d be willing to bet a substantial amount of money that Wii Party will much more than double the sales of WKC over its lifetime.
