Halo: Reach Limited CE gets big shots, looks awesome

Microsoft’s released massive images of the Halo: Reach CE, and very buyable it looks, too.
Shots below. These have been seen before, but these are pretty pictures, so what they hey.
The game will be available in standard, Limited and Legendary editions when it launches on September 14.
Both the Limited and Legendary editions are filled with content based on the titler’s fiction.
These are pics of the Limited edition, which will cost £60. The Legendary box comes in UNSC-themed packaging and features a Noble Team statue, and will set you back £100.

Is it just me or is the hype for this not as big as Halo 3? The whole internet was on fire when ever some Halo 3 news came out seriously the hype was massive. Doesnt seem to be the same for Halo Reach.

This does indeed look like an awesome CE. I felt well ripped off with the H3 Legendary Edition, that Master Chief helmet is cheap plastic tat. This one looks alot better.

Na, I think it’s high.
Not Halo 3 high, admittingly, but a lot higher then ODST anyways.

Maybe everyone is feeling a little burned after ODST

Hmm personally i think its mainly the rise of COD thats done it. Cod wasnt really that big when Halo 3 came out but now well….

Bit early for the media explosion yet, I’d have said. Although there is always the chance of Halo-fatigue. I wonder whether calling it ‘Halo 4′ instead would’ve had any effect?

@5 yeah, CODs definitely stolen Halo’s multiplayer mantel, and i very much doubt it can get it back this generation

The difference in hype between Halo 3 and Reach is because Halo 3 was the first next-gen Halo IMO.
It had been almost 3 years since Halo 2, yet it was still one of the most popular titles on XBL.
This time around, we’ve had ODST on the same platform, with the same Halo 3 engine, looking and playing pretty much the same. So I don’t think that most people are expecting a big leap in ‘quality’ like they were with Halo 3.
Plus, it’s not the undisputed xbox FPS champ any more, if such a title exists.

@5 – i think its a combo of:
CoD
Being burned off of ODST
And simply it will never be as big as H3 because this is a spin off/prequel =/

This game should have been named HALO 3! the original HALO 3 was a milking title for M$ to nail their IB early this generation! REACH is another HALO 1 IMO. And GoTY?! I seriously doubt. When there is a masterpiece out there named Super mario galaxy 2, no one should think of another game as GoTY. Besides, there are other titles like GoWIII, ME2, RDR and … competing for GoTY this year.

No Master Chief = less interest, innit.
