Rumour – Kinect branding outed
Kotaku‘s obtained what appears to be the boxed branding you’ll see when Kinect launches this November.
The picture shows branding for both the motion camera separately, as well as the hardware bundle containing the camera and 360 Slim.
Kinect will launch on November 4 in the US, with no date set for Europe yet.
No price for the tech has been confirmed in either region, but it’s set to be announced next month at gamescom.
Speculation is pointing at prices from £130 to $150.

It’s an oddly plain logo, dull font and no icon or symbol to go with it (aside from the ubiquitous need to always refer to it as “Kinect for Xbox 360″.

Microsoft was Smart to dump the Windows Mobile Phone, the Kin, just 2 months after release.
The only thing I really Hope for, is if Kinect starts failing right away they dump it and don’t invest millions and millions of dollars into it, and just move those millions into the Next Gen Console.
The Xbox could go the Way of Sega…Genesis, Saturn, then Dreamcast…then fail!
I love all my consoles, but I really think we are going to see a swing in the market with Xbox being third in the Consoles, with Sony being 1 and Nintendo Wii being 2, or Wii 2 being number 1 with PS3 being 2…Needless to say the next few years will be interesting to see how Microsoft will deal with their continued slide down the slope, I just think the Kinect is the wrong move right now.
People who have NO consoles will look at the Kinect, then have to buy an Xbox 360 and then games, and look at Wii that is Cheaper and comes with games…And yes I know all about the cost of buying more WiiMotes, but for an initial purchase they will buy the Wii because it will be cheaper and then plan on buying more Motes down the road.
