RAGE walks away with five E3 Game Critics nominations

The nominations for the 2010 E3 Game Critics awards were announced today, with RAGE gaining five – including one for the Game of Show award.

Other contenders for GoS include Dance Central, Portal 2, Disney’s Epic Mickey and Nintendo 3DS.

3DS is also nominated for Best Hardware alongside PlayStation Move, Kinect and Rock Band 3′s pro guitars and keyboard.

For Best Console Game, it’s between inFamous 2, Epic Mickey, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Portal 2 and RAGE.

Best PC Game nominees are Star Wars: The Old Republic, RAGE, Portal 2, Civilization V and Crysis 2.

50% of these games will turn out to be shite. It happens at every E3, a game is talked-up then on release is actually piss-poor.

That’s surprising, I don’t recall seeing anything about RAGE during the whole show. I didn’t go looking for it, but I don’t remember it making any headlines either.
