PSA: APB releases today in US, ships in UK

EA’s sent word that APB has shipped in the UK.
The Realtime Worlds MMO will be available in the UK on Friday to buy, but is available today in the US.
Good stuff.
The game will include 25 hours of playtime, while subs will set you back £5.59/$6.99 for 20 hours or £7.99/$9.99 for 30 days.
Discounts will also be given for anyone who wishes to buy 90- or 120-day subs. You can also convert in-game RTW points into game time.
Go buy it now. Or go place an order for it. Whatever. Catch some videos of it here.

what puts me off of MMO is that most require a subscription, if the outright price was the only requirement, i’d buy it in an heartbeat

It’s pay as you go, and from the pricing above they’ve been a bit obvious with the pricing strategy. £5.59 for just 20 hours or pay £2.40 more and get 30 *DAYS*. I wonder which package they want you to buy?
Reminds me a bit of this, but with the subtle pricing psychology removed: http://www.psychologyofgames.com/2010/03/23/xbox-game-rooms-dummy-pricing-not-for-dummies/

Technically you can play for free. If your good at designs or making music you do it ingame then sell it for RTW points which you can then spend on gametime

Damn, after all the hype this game is released to so little publicity. Public awareness for this game now is nil.

I would get it if it was a MMO. Don’t fancy 100 player limit servers.

Why is it that Only Guild Wars has been the Only Big MMO that was free…They survived to make another Game…Is it Greed with these other MMO’s??
Seems No One follows the Guild Wars Model at all?
