@1 “This game hasn’t come out for PC yet”

Because Starcraft II is coming this SUMMER TEA. It’s just going to overshadow Darksiders. Thats why they moved this to September.

What need to die is obviously consoles, but they won’t die because of stupid casual community.

This game came out last year for consoles and its my understanding that most games nowadays are made on PC first then ported right. I could see a spring release this year for the game but a whole damn year for a great game NO!

Starcraft is shit. If I haven’t played it or it hasn’t peaked my interest it must be shit. So sick of PC gamers clinging on to the handful of titles that are keeping PC gaming alive. Let go already consoles will win. WoW,StarCraft all that crap is gay and for people with no lives.

I might as well waste my life cooking virtual food like the millions of jackasses all around the world who play those useless facebook games. You people are sad. PC gaming needs to die now.

Moving the date back to september is a good idea, since the juggernaut that is SCII will destroy any other game sales during august.

    @Hunam
Apparently so. Just like the other 10 years we’ve been reading these prophets of PC gaming doom!

    #10 5 years ago
  11. theevilaires

Its not only that Hunam. Its other problems like pirates and some devs hold their games back on PC for that reason. If games have to be annoyed with delayed games every time a hit releases then why bother.

The gaming industry took of when consoles like the NES was first introduced. All those wanna be PC game machines advertised in the 80′s were never big. Companies like ATI and NVIDIA are keeping PC gaming alive. Its how they sell their new product to the masses every 6 months.

I will never get PC gaming and why people pay ridiculous prices for a slightly better looking game. Its not worth it.

    @TEA

Some of the hardware nuts can be a bit strange to be honest, but I payed about £500 to upgrade by PC about 3 years ago and I can still play every game that comes my way.

But on the flip side, it’s not a slightly better looking game, it’s a better looking game that runs smoother and costs less per unit (as in game price) buy a fair amount. Since 2006 when I got my 360, which is my main console I have probably spend more on games and plastic guitars than I have on PC hardware and PC games.

You can be very frugal on PC gaming but you can also have an insane excess if you want. But you still get more releases a year than either console and often get a lot more legit free content, but it’s a myth that being a PC gamer is expensive.

    #13 5 years ago
  14. theevilaires

Will darksiders look leap and bounds better than the console version….NO! Did GTA4 run smoother than the console versions….NO! Does PC have great exclusives like UC2,Heavy Rain, GT5, GOW3?…..NO!

Are WoW and StarCraft the only games holding the PC gaming market a float….YES!

face it Hunam PC gaming is an after thought and will never be the main focus for gaming ever again unless for benchmarking new graphics cards that come out every four months.

PC games are mostly Digital Downloads now. The PC gaming sector doesn’t need brick n’ mortar outlets anymore.

Steam, Direct 2 Drive, Play Green House, Beamdog, Impulse, GOG, Gamersgate, EA Store, plus countless developer stores, don’t publish their sales figures. Unlike NPD, Chart Track, etc.

No one will ever know the absolute sales figures for Digital Downloads as they don’t get published, so it would be pointless even to try and speculate.

Fact is, PC gaming is healthy, yet the less than bright, console owning retard, can’t (and won’t ever) see that.

PC and console gaming are different entities altogether. A bit like comparing apples and oranges.

    #20 5 years ago
  21. Erthazus

“Did GTA4 run smoother than the console versions…”

YES and with much better graphics.

“Does PC have great exclusives like UC2,Heavy Rain, GT5, GOW3?…..NO!”

does PC have titles like Starcraft II, Warcraft 3, Total War series, DIABLO 3, Kings Bounty, CIVILIZATION, WITCHER 1,2 and e.t.c.? No, consoles don’t have.

and these games are legendary. LEGENDARY. Blizzard entertainment makes not just AAA titles. They make legendary titles that are just myths. People remember them in their hearts and there are a lot of replayability.

    “Starcraft is shit.”

Because you are incapable of thinking and not capable of doing something strategic. It’s a strategy game and console fags can go play slashers as much as they want. I’m not saying that Hack and Slash are bad games, but games like Darksiders don’t go well on PC because it’s not their genre.

Real Time Strategy game like Starcraft is absolutely amazing. Have amazing storyline and great gameplay like no other games out there.

“damn year for a great game NO!”

It’s not a great game and it won’t even sell much on Steam or D2D

“why people pay ridiculous prices for a slightly better looking game”

It’s illusion that it is ridiculous prices, it’s not much. 500 EURO and you are set up for 3 years.

    and why they buy?

Because games looks much better then on consoles. MUCH better. Games like Metro 2033, Crysis, RAGE and games that are designed for PC with direct X10 or 11 looks by far better then any game on consoles.

Because playing shooters and many other genres that STARTED on PC are much better, much enjoyable?
Playing shooter on console is absolutely stupid.

    Games are cheaper

    MODS.

Legendary games like Witcher, Starcraft II, Diablo 3 and e.t.c.

But what consoles bring to the table? Nothing. Most of the genres on 360 and PS3 are consolised. Franchises like Fallout 3 and many other games have worse gameplay than it’s predecessors because of gamepad and other restrictions.

you sir don’t know about PC ga,ing nothing. Stop comparing Apples with tomatoes. consoles gaming and PC gaming are two different things and you don’t have PC to judge it.

But i have PC and PS3 and i will say that compared to PC gaming PS3 is a total disaster.

Last time I heard Erthazus GTA4 ran like crap on PC unless they patched it since then.

UC2 and GOW3 will kick the Witcher’s ass so hard back and forth its not even funny. Which leads to this…didn’t they announce that for consoles too? I think they did a while back.

I don’t like RTS games in particular so I may be acting a little bias toward Starcraft but the people I’ve seen playing them are people who look like they don’t shower daily or any kind on a regular healthy basis which makes the game a complete and utter fail for human society.

Metro2033 looked boring as hell, Crysis is meh besides the graphics and RAGE is a fallout/Borderlands clone (been there done that). A side from superior graphic quality because of the nature or upgradable PC parts of course they are going to look better, but looks aren’t everything and we’ll soon find that out with the release of GT5 vs Forza3. Game Play is more important and PC games are know to be buggy as shit.

500 euros for 3 years? LMAO try $600 for 10 years! Baby fully loaded with Blu-ray bitches and HDMI :D

Legendary Games?…what legendary games? To who? the geeks on neo-gaf? The geeks on blizzards forums!? Because when I walk outside and hear things about gaming I hear MW2,GOW3,UC2,Gears,Halo,GT5,and Assassins Creed. Not some damn gay Starcraft,Diablo,or WoW. (well maybe WoW here and there sometimes :D ) but nobody knows who the Witcher is. Hell i just found out about it last year.

The populace don’t know about those games but they know the SIMS.

Playing shooters on a PC is absolutely stupid. Oh let me aim with my mouse instantly and tap the button and PEW PEW PEW I win. Oh yea great skill there champ, feels so rewarding killing someone with a sniper using a mouse than a console controller that takes skills of concentration and focus of your mind and hands. With a mouse just point and click people its that easy….to feel like you’re riding a bike again….with training wheels :P

I have a PS3,360 and PC (for emulator classic gaming :P ) and I can tell you CONSOLE GAMING RULES!

The pirates will kill whats left of the rest of you off who still cling to PC gaming. Harder restrictions like DRM and internet connection required always will force you to drop PC gaming for good and soon you’ll be wishing you were practicing more with that console controller than a mouse and key board cause you keep getting owned in COD4.

BTW PC games have no good fighting games :P (Street fighter is shit so shut it).

“Last time I heard Erthazus GTA4 ran like crap on PC unless they patched it since then.”

Last time you heard shit. It had problems on some PC’s that had not so good RIG for that time because of bad port.
Who had decent rig had no problems at all. After all patches, all can play without a problem.
    It’s fixed.

“UC2 and GOW3 will kick the Witcher’s ass so hard back and forth its not even funny. Which leads to this…didn’t they announce that for consoles too? I think they did a while back.”

first of all UC2, GOW 3 and Witcher 2 are different games and they have nothing to do with each other.
Uncharted 2 is a king of TPS games
GOW 3 is a king of Hack and shash games
and Witcher 2 is a king of RPG games.

and yes it’s not announced on consoles, because if they will do it, it will be ripped apart. I hope it will stay where it belongs.

    “I don’t like RTS games ”

Lets end here. you don’t like this genre, like i don’t like SPORTS games.
and yes, normal people playing RTS games and they are really hard and need some brains.

“500 euros for 3 years? LMAO try $600 for 10 years! Baby fully loaded with Blu-ray bitches and HDMI”

I’m sure you won’t play PS3 for 10 years because you will buy Ps4 next time.

“but nobody knows who the Witcher is. Hell i just found out about it last year.”

witcher is not popular in US, because it’s european centric RPG game. US guys like easier stuff and i’m not saying it’s bad. but it’s how it is.
But Blizzard, if you don’t know who they are, you just started playing yesterday or what?

you don’t know what is Blizzcon? You don’t know what is Warcraft games? Even Warcraft 2 and Diablo was on Playstation 1.
Blizzard games are legendary. They are myths.

“Oh let me aim with my mouse instantly and tap the button and PEW PEW PEW I win.”

Same goes to your opponent. Who have more skill that guy will win.
Shooters started at PC and it’s a genre that is beter on PC.
It’s much more enjoyable playing with Mouse and keyboard than with gamepad.

Like Fighting games are much better on gamepads that with keyboard for example.

“feels so rewarding killing someone with a sniper using a mouse”

Same goes to your opponent. Who have more skill, he will win. Even in tradition. PC have tournaments.
    TOURNAMENTS.

you just don’t know what is PC gaming and how FPS games plays on PC. It’s much better. MUCH better.

“Harder restrictions like DRM and internet connection required always will force you to drop PC gaming for good ”

Only Ubisoft doing it and they already realised it’s a bad idea and no one is doing it anymore, except for release dates and there is no DRM on Steam.

“you’ll be wishing you were practicing more with that console controller than a mouse and key board cause you keep getting owned in COD4.”

Absolutely not. There is nothing hard playing FPS with gamepad, it’s just not precise and not enjoyable at all.

“BTW PC games have no good fighting games (Street fighter is shit so shut it).”

PC gaming don’t need fighting games because playing fighting games on keyboard is the same stupid thing as playing FPS games on consoles. It’s possible, but not enjoyable much.

Yeah, i can connect controller or peripheral to PC, but not much people like Fighting games on PC.

TEA, you are a good guy, i don’t want to say to you: Shut the fuck up. But if you really don’t know nothing about PC gaming, sometimes you need to shut the fuck up.

I love my PS3 and i love PC gaming equally. I love my PS3 for games such as MGS4 and UC2. They are brilliant and awesome, but i’m a hardcore and serious gamer and gaming is much more enjoyable FOR ME on PC. Much more.
I prefer playing multiplatform games on my PC (Except fighting and hack and slash games) and i enjoy DLC, Exclusives, console multiplatform games and other stuff on PS3.
