Not long now. Realtime Worlds has released four new videos of online shooter APB, showing how the game works, a couple of its play areas and some cars exploding.

There’s a short there explaining APB’s base criminal versus Enforcer concept, how match-making works, the combat-based Waterfront District and the social area.

Set in San Paro, APB pitches legalised vigilantes against gangs online. Mayor Derren wants to clean up the streets, and she’s decided to use the public to do it. Check out the intro vid for background.

Basically, everyone kills each other. Watch below for proof. You’ll be playing this next week: APB releases on June 29 in the US and July 2 in the UK.

One eye open on this one. Definitely not a day 1 purchase but depending on the reviews it might get my money considering the dry spell of games till Aug/Sep.

I’m just converting a large movie these are cut from. Should be up in about 10 minutes.

Is it good enough to at least rip from a friends PC copy?

Its sad because i really enjoy the art work. The concept art, character art, advertising art are all great then looking at the game, it just looks weak.

Yeah I was in the beta too. It looked promising at the start but soon got very boring.
