GAME reduces Move to £34.99

Despite only recently pricing PlayStation Move at £39.99, UK retailer Game has already reduced the figure.

GAME now has Move priced at £34.99, making it one of the cheapest around, with Amazon’s current price at £37.91 and Play.com marking it up at £39.99.

GAME has also reduced the price of the sub-controller to £24.99, meaning it will cost you just under £60 for the two, or just under £70 for two Move controllers.

Finally, the retailer has also listed some known and unknown Move-compatible titles such as R.U.S.E, The Sly Collection, Echochrome 2 and Michael Jackson: The Game.

I had seen somewhere else that these were the confirmed RRP and earlier numbers were hedging bets. Can we get Sony to confirm?

Any one who is financial current and followings GAME’s earnings wouldn’t be surprised by this move. As they clearly need to overturn their continued downward performance.

I wonder if this is in response to slower than expected pre-orders?

It would seem very early to make that call to be honest, but I suppose they must have internal projections for all stages of the products shelf life.

I wonder how SCEE is going to market Move. SCEA’s Coke sponsorship is a pretty big deal.. or was that a worldwide thing?

@6 – they never said but i wouldn’t be surprised at a US only thing given SCEE always will find a way to screw anything and everything (that isn’t heavy rain) up >_>
