Mortal Kombat 9 screen shows character slots, DLC

MK9-a

A shot taken of what appears to be the character screen for Mortal Kombat 9 shows 26 fighter slots available.

Fighters confirmed so far include: Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Scorpion, Mileena, Reptile, Night Wolf, Sektor and Johnny Cage – but there are 18 more empty slots in the shot posted over on PlayFront.de.

One would hope Raiden and Shao Kahn are in the game, considering both were shown in the reveal video.

Two other boxes are shown on the character menu screen; one is a question mark and the other says DLC – which is a bit self-explanatory.

Full content details are scarce regarding Mortal Kombat 9 at this point, but at least it’s finally coming.

If you have yet to check out what was shown at E3, you can through here.

It’s out next year on PS3 and Xbox 360.

That might not be so bad, but I don’t want this to turn into one of those situations where all of the characters are on disc and you have to pay just to “unlock” them for use.
